Don’t blame Anna, US Vogue should fire the photoshopping artist soon. I was really anticipating Keira’s cover (one of my favourite Hollywood actresses besides Liv Tyler) because apparently, she looks good in almost everything, both red carpet and editorial wise. But I am sure that no one can ignore that hair. They could have given a pixie hair wig for her to wear if they were going for this ‘smart woman’ look but if that’s the case, Natalie Portman should have done the job (years ago). Oh, when is she going to get the cover?
On another topic, WSJ reported that the number of ad pages in some of the top fash mags have fallen much compared to a year ago. Most noticeably, W dropped by a whooping 17.67% and Vogue by 7.10% while ELLE has an increase of 6.60% and BAZAAR, 3% . Maybe it’s time for Anna to consider about churning out a TV reality series, look what Project Runway has gotten ELLE to. Commercialism rules fashion, that’s not an old news anymore, right?

There are rumors that Anna is on the way out. It has been speculated in a couple news publications, including NY Times.
I bet there will be a new editor-in-chief by December 2008, after the December issue is sent to the printers.

@ Such a subtle comment…..so a cancer patient looks hideous when their hair is regrowing? The ones I’ve known during this progress look amazingly happy and beautiful!
Actually there are diseases which cause permanent hairloss.

karen is such an amazing model that she looks washed out in that cover. too much stuff there and the makeup makes her look dead

Karen is for sure an amazing model. I begin to get used to the ‘washed out’ look I suppose due to the overuse of photoshop.
Further I think Karen is interesting as a person and she’s interviewed by Hadley Freeman. I’m curious to read that.
