Found this picture of the Kaiser in 1983 in the latest Teen Vogue (Nov ’09), doing a fitting for Inès de la Fressange.
You can hardly find a picture of him without his signature shades on these days… no?
Enough Karl talk, the news of the Spring ’10 Chanel campaign is out courtesy of WWD. The cast: Freja Beha Erichsen, Baptiste Giabiconi and Claudia Schiffer. Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Imagine what he’s got to do with the farm/country theme at Argentina with The Trio.
As for Christian Dior, Galliano has chosen Karlie Kloss, apparently Karlie is his new favourite model now that she has even went on to open both the Dior and Galliao show for Spring ’10.
Dior campaign at 17, enough said.

In the movie ‘The September Issue’, Anna was correcting Elissa Santisi what she thought was a scarf is actually a ‘neck brace’. And now came Burberry, who introduced the ‘Snood’, a scarf-like neck warmer that can be worn over practically anything from t-shirts to daywear, as shown on the runways of Burberry Fall ’09.
I’m loving the slouchiness of it, and that you don’t have to twist and knot your own scarf all the time during the cold season. Maybe the snood works for women as well…
Check out more of the Burberry snoods here.
According to WWD, Mert & Marcus will be shooting the Gucci Spring 2010 campaign, which means Inez & Vinoodh are losing yet another loyal client to the duo, who are gathering an impressive portfolio of brands from Miu Miu to Armani to DSquared2.
Judging by the Gucci Cruise ’10 campaign, M&M have certainly gone back to the DNA of Gucci and make the campaign look expensive and luxurious all over again, that is something that Inez & Vinoodh haven’t been in touch with lately with all the theme-y sets. However they are definitely not the ones to blame since Frida has been evolving the Gucci girl into all sorts of character. One season she’s bohemian hippie, one season she’s glam rock, another season she’s into safari. But Spring ’10 just happens to be one of Frida best Gucci collections to date (agree? it’s a little Tom Ford — modern, sophisticated, sexy) and that seems to make this upcoming campaign even more fitting, like Gucci back to its old days.

Check out this random, funny candid moment — Anna Selezneva dropped her clutch on the runway of Elie Saab, and the photographer caught that expression… priceless!

It must have been a very long while since a french girl nabbed the #1 spot, walking the most shows with 72. Liu Wen on the other hand, is THE asian model to go for almost every show, not even Du Juan had that impressive runway streak of Prada, Miu Miu, Balenciaga, Dior, Gucci, Chanel, McQueen, YSL… can you say wow. Will Liu Wen nab a proper campaign or cover to answer to her impressive runway record?
As for the new comers… I am rooting for Jacqueline Jablonski and Anastasia Kutznetsova. Jaqueline has a confident vibe and strong look, has the same sort of sternness as Frankie Rayder, but more feline. Such a stand out amongst others, it’s quite refreshing to see. Anastasia is more mellow, but has a sort of calm, serene beauty about her that is very effortlessly elegant. Looking forward to see some killer editorial work from them in the upcoming months.
