Lights and shadows

February 3, 2009

I am loving many of Sebastian Kim’s latest work. They are amazing because he can make a black dress look so colourful and there is something so mysterious about these shots because of the shadows and the use of green & blue. It must be an editorial trend because Meisel first did it for Prada Fall 08′ and David Sims for Balenciaga Spring 09‘.

‘Exaggerated’ from Numéro Korea #7 is simply flawless, well executed even in the styling and hair/make-up. Plus, Alana Zimmer looks stunning. Besides beauty editorials, she is perfect for colour-concentrated shoots.

Next is ‘Prédatrice’ in the latest Numéro #100… the colours remind me of the solar panel but Constance is looking more of a femme fatale in this.

Looking forward to seeing more of his work in future.
