Mrs O

Words can’t express my joy over the fact that, the ever unpredictable Michelle Obama had chosen Jason Wu’s creation over so many major league designers for her inauguration ball. A first lady who supports young talents? Yes!

I was pleasantly surprised too. Oscar De La Renta must be weeping now;(

yes, the Ball dress was excellent, but what about the isabel toledo she wore in the day– rather frumpy don’t you think, funky green leather gloves notwithstanding? 🙂

i was somewhat dissapointed by the ball dress. another first lady, nancy reagan wore once a almost similar dress on a igaunuration ball. i liked that dress better but not on nancy reagan. jason wu’s dress hadn’t a young glow at all. mrs. obama looked matronly in that dress. the same goes for her the yellow outfit. yes, a frumpy outfit with funky leather gloves though

I loved the fact that she choose Jason Wu , instead of DVF, Marc Jacobs and many others, like you said: A first lady who supports young talents? Yes!

I love the beading and ivory color of that dress but hate that one-shoulder strap (looks awkward) and the silhouette.

The reason the Toledo number looked frumpy or odd to some people is because Michelle had a bullet-proof vest on underneath. She appeared bigger than usual. I thought it suited her personality quite well’ and most importantly the occasion. Kudos Mrs. O

YAY for the white dress. Why did so many people complain about it??? She looked ravishing!
