Meisel’s favourite cafe

January 10, 2009

He has been shooting in that Figaro Bistrot cafe in LA for more than a few times. It is indeed a very stunning location, cosy cafe with a Parisian ambience complete with bar and mirrors. It’s no wonder Steven Meisel likes the place. Well, if I were to go to LA, I will surely make it a must-visit place for me.

First time shooting, ‘Paris Je T’aime’ editorial for US Vogue

Later with Madonna for Louis Vuitton

The latest, Alberta Ferreti with Kinga Rajzak, Mina Cvetkovic, Viktoriya Sasonkina.

The Ferretti is amazing, great great cast and very glamourous in a retro way. That little ‘fighting’ thing is something very Meisel though but it gives edge to the ad, and do check out how the fringe on on Kinga’s dress moved.

But still, time to find a new ‘muse’ location Meisel!

This is really interesting. I think the Alberta Ferretti Ad is the best! I love the gold colour scheme, it’s really amazing how one venue can create so many different moods.
