For this collection, the inspiration comes from some of my favourite electronica tunes (I am a Royksöpp fan) and that explains why the dresses are very dance-y. I am also playing with colours by mismatching different kinds of shades into a look.

All the dresses and accessories are design and sewed by me, hope you guys like it. If you are keen on any items and would like to see some close-ups, please contact me at rock-the-trend@hotmail.com or simply drop me a comment with your email.

Wow that’s impressive! Very refreshing someone who can handle the ‘needle and the thread’ herself and not only writing about it. Did you use patterns or can you drawn them yourself too? Gosh, you’re a kind of wonderwoman!
I don’t see anything ‘mismatching’ apparantly you made the right colour choices! Bravo Laila!
My faves are the aqua-top+ high waist skirt and the dancy-cy pink dress with that purple tights.
Though the Peeking neon is interesting too.
    Good luck!

ah, i can see why you chose that origami tulip skirt for the biggest picture 🙂

    quite Chanel fall 2008 couture!

adore the aqua top as well, it looks really intriguing… what was the fabric you used?

i think you’re doing most fabulously for someone so young. hey maybe we should work together in future or something, lol.

You are such a talented designer. The structure of that purple skirt is amazing. I also love the use of color and how every piece works with the others. GREAT JOB!!!! I love your style, too. :]

regarding your little piece of misleading information about the july 2008 special Black issue of italian vogue being out only in mid august – its already out in kino a couple of days back.

just thought you might wanna know.

Love the mixture of materials and colors. It’s very young and very hip, but the cut and details are absolutely couture style.

    Great accessories too.

Are the prices in US$ or S$?
