Trendspotting: bohemian

July 28, 2008

You might be over with one of the summer’s major trends, florals, but what’s in for the upcoming fall season is… ethnic prints.
Dresses like these are bound to make a statement and they just look so hip with a pair of boots.

Eww. May God save us. May God keep us away from boho.

Bohemian look requires simple accessories or none at all to pull off, otherwise it just looks a mess.

Notice the lack of accessories and super simple hair on the models.

Being a bohemian is or was(?) a certain lifestyle……not a look perse. It were (are?)liberated free spirits. Not souls that confirmed themselves to the expensive designers.
‘Bohemian Look’ its only a name…it has to be named something isn’t it?

Accessories are the core of the bohemian look! Hats, sunglasses, many many rings, long layered necklaces, big earrings, paisley scarfs, headbands, feathers… pile it on! The more, the merrier. And pulling it off? A true bohemian wouldn’t care. That’s what makes them pull it off.
