The drop crotch pants

Versace resort 08′

I would have never guess that Donatella will create this type of pants for Versace. It is harem pants with a twist in the silhouette but it looks saggy, casual and dare I say, clumsy. Not quite sexy.

Would you wear it? I am actually wondering how will it look like on a normal person…

I like them! But I was wondering the same: how would the look on me? (a normal person). You are right, not Donatella’s style at all.

for one i don’t think donatella versace was being extraordinarily creative with this pair of pants, cos you can see them on so many people in places like japan and hong kong! and worse still, i don’t think she “copied” it well or right… her version just looks plain odd

the versace pants are hideous, the philip lim ones are better but i wouldn’t wear either version unless i was being paid.

I had one of these like 5 years ago? LOL… got them from BKK. People called it the Ali Baba pants.

Yikes, they look like old men’s winter underwear, especially with the buttons around the pee hole.

I did try the philipe lim pants and i looked like i was wearing pampers, not attractive at all! but i did see them on a tall very slender eastern european woman and i felt she carried it well. Its not a cut for an hourglass shaped girl , but if your slim and slender you can pull it off.

The first is a horrible example and they look awful. The 2nd is a great pair, I really like them. It seems like the trend definitely got going again in the trendy east asian countries like Tokyo and in Hong Kong. Its not unusual though for them to be ahead with some of the more extreme trends a year or even two ahead of the time. My friend from Tokyo pulled off this look probably at least since ’07.
