Colour trend: turquoise

November 23, 2007

For the upcoming spring/summer season, I am guessing that turquoise will be the new ‘it’ colour. I have been seeing this shade around for a while now and it’s getting more and more appealing to me. It reminds me of oceans and beaches (think Maui), very casual and youthful.
Maybe loads of ladies would still like to stick to the safe colours like pastels, white… but for the more experimental and spunky ones, do look out for turquoise when you shop for spring!

Dresses with shine that are great for partying.  One thing for sure— I won’t pair it with pink heels. If not, I would end up looking like Donald Duck’s girlpal Daisy!

Check out how Jennifer Connelly rocked that ODLR dress in my Let.Them.Rock. blog.

The colour looks good on flowy and drapery gowns. I can’t really imagine it on tight-fitting ones.

I’m loving this plain top plus knee-length skirt in turquoise combo. Very chic.

Isn’t this… elegant beyond words? Actually, I don’t think turquoise can be paired with any other bright colours like yellow, purple, pink, red… It’s best to keep it simple to balance out the brightness.

I’ve always loved turquoise, but the Burberry model is so gaunt it’s distracting, and not in a good way.

It’s a hard colour to pull off, but the Dell’Acqua skirt seems the most do-able. Great post as usual!

I love turquoise. It brightens up the face and mixes well with other colors. I used to have a turquoise beaded necklace with red beads mixed in between. It looked great with black.
