There are rumours swirling around that Linda Evangelista is replacing Sasha for the upcoming Prada Fall 08′ campaign. However, some sources simply say that Steven Meisel is just shooting her for a Vogue Italia cover/editorial… hope this is true.

But after so many seasons, I am afraid that Miuccia has finally decided to give Sasha the boot. Not many brands can use the same model over and over again for such a long time because it just doesn’t make sense, someday they might feel that she doesn’t suit the brand anymore. I got a feel that they are ready to let her go by including many newbies into their recent campaigns.
And for the one day that Sasha is going to lose her phenominal Prada gig, I wonder how much will it hurt her career. Nearly three years as THE FACE of Prada is historical, it’s a feat that only the Lindvalls and the Valettas have achieved in the past. But models who are under exclusive contracts like this don’t really get many other major campaign bookings outside of it. Think Natalia Vodianova + Calvin Klein for example. So the question is, will Sasha still be coveted by big brands post Prada?
Whatever that is going to happen, I will just keep my fingers crossed and if news comes out that Sasha will continue to front Prada’s campaign, it will totally make my day.

they’re replacing sasha p with LINDA EVANGELISTA???? what!? tbh i’ve never really thought that linda was anything special, if they’re going to replace sasha they could at least find someone much better (and younger) than her. but i hope sasha stays.

It’s time for someone new. Sasha has ridden The Devil Wears Prada wave for too long now. I’d like to see Du or anyone that isn’t blonde European. Not being racial here, just want something different. I don’t think the Linda Evangelista rumor is true although I wouldn’t mind it if she is photographed by Meisel.

i think it will still be sasha, but even if she gets replaced, i think she’ll do fine. fw07 was slow for natalia but she had LV for ss08 and she has versace this season.

Linda E doesn’t fit the waif look that Prada perpetuted for the last decade so I doubt the new girl will be Linda.
Sasha was conspicuously absent in the Prada FW08 show in Milan last month. That started the tongues wagging from Shanghai to New York.

I have no fear. Sasha will do Prada until she dies at the age of 127. If not, she will do Baleciaga and Miu Miu.
There just is no replacing her. Ever. Linda E. can kiss my sport socks. Though like I`ve written before it might be nice to complement her on the next campaign with some more recent faces, and possibly older ones like in the S/S 04 ads.

Its definitely a season for fresh faces, Natasha got booted from Gucci and now it looks like Sasha is getting the heel also.
Maybe there will be a new Fendi girl too, Raquel is kind of getting same ol’ same ol’ also.

i think it is true that Linda E is replacing Sasha… anyway, the next F/W 08 direction is about Powerful Strong Women… and i think Linda E is a perfect choice for this New Prada Lace Collection…
As for Sasha, she is a hot Supermodel.. and i am Pretty sure alot of Fashion house will sign her up.. we shall wait and see…..
