Couture fashion week wrap up
January 24, 2008
They set up a giant blue ribbon for Chanel’s SS08 show and a wooden 75-foot tall jacket for the couture. So what’s up for Fall 08′? A giant quilted bag?
Jean Paul Gaultier’s vision of mermaids and corals is simply amazing. I really like the theme. It is so different, so unexpected and so breath-takingly beautiful.
The structure and tailoring of this coat from Givenchy couture is to-die-for… my favourite piece out of the whole collection.
The final finale, models strutting down the runway in Valentino’s signature red.

Wow, that white coat is stunning!
Personally I thought it was vulgar and garish. And the ballerina pumps the models wore didn’t do justice to the outfits.Made the models walk ridiculous.
I meant the giant 18 metres Chanel jacket!
Do you know any of the songs used for this show?
The main one is a mysterious version of Kate Bush’s 80s hit ‘Running up that hill’.I think.
