The bags

At Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs took inspiration from, erm, Spongebob Squarepants and churn out this latest range of the iconic LV monochrome bags. The vibrant colours don’t look like they’re going to appeal to the older customers though.

Awww… the Hermes Birkins, most luxurious and desired bag on earth.

Chloe’s purple patent oversized clutch caught my eyes. It’s so stylish. Previously at Fendi, Karl did his version of this latest bag trend too.

If you still prefer the handy clutches/purses, take a look at Kenzo’s amazonia feathered clutch, the ultra sleek McQueen number and the artsy graphics at Miu Miu.
The shoes

Yves Saint Laurent’s strappy logo heels are classy but flashy too. It looks like a money sign from far.
Then, it’s another “what’s Karl thinking?” moment when mini versions of the iconic quilted bags are clinched onto the ankles. Will you follow this trend?
Over at Chloe, the cone shaped heel is darn adorable with the white buckle. I’m not too sure about Nina Ricci’s horn heel though. Looks terrifying.

(Givenchy, Miu Miu, Balenciaga)
Sandals/boots that look like a funkier version of the gladiator sandals that Chanel did a few seasons ago. It’s kind of hard to wear them if one doesn’t have nice calves!
On the head

Who got the craziest hair art?
Lacroix, McQueen or Galliano?

Spotted! The turbans at Hermes looks a lil’ similar to Prada SS07’s…
The accessories

Chunky necklaces that are potential attention stealers.
Wear that Lanvin diamond studded piece and it will literally blind everybody else’s eyes.
On the other hand, designers like Stefano of YSL and Karl are turning to the fun-loving side of summer by using more shapes and colours to balance out the seriousness embedded in their collections.

Black/white shades at Givenchy and Valentino. Trend? Feels very Gwen Stefani to me. As long as Paris Hilton doesn’t start wearing them, I think these shades are pretty chic and quirky.
The makeup

The most bizarre faces only at (where else?) John Galliano.
O horror. Inspiration for Halloween people.

The bold blue lips at Louis Vuitton… I’m praying hard that this won’t be a trend.

The two-tone eyeliner trend at Karl Lagerfeld. During SS07, Emanuel Ungaro’s blue-purple eyelining was really pretty too.

Sweet and sophisticated purple eyeshadow plus girlie pink lips at Valentino. All the models look like Barbie!

Makeup pro Pat McGrath hard at work, at Nina Ricci.
The inspirations

Chanel loves America.
But the critics ain’t too happy with Karl’s latest effort for Chanel.
Is he running out of ideas?

The pirates marching down Jean Paul Gaultier’s runway are fierce!
I like how he transforms fantasy into reality with a bit of cool edge.
I mean, who doesn’t want to be Captain Jack Sparrow?
The moments

I always look forward to Sonial Rykiel’s finale. It’s warm and full of happiness, with models smiling and sashaying down the runways in bare feet. How dreamy and sweet that is.

Models at Galliano’s show get to do all kinds of crazy antics. Like eating an apple?
Frontrow and backstage

Stella McCartney with her very supportive (and famous) father, Paul.

Biggest names in fashion at the front row— Anna Piaggi of Italian Vogue and Carine Roitfeld of French Vogue. Hmm where’s the other Anna?

Actress Chloe (Sevigny) at Chloe… Beside her is model Anja Rubik. She didn’t get to walk the show but to watch it is as good!

Supermodel Natalia Vodianova with husband Justin Portman. Wow, she’s doing good. Walking for many coveted shows again after giving birth to her third child.

Backstage at John Galliano. Models acting funny. They must be glad that the chaos of the fashion month is coming to an end.
